Diplomatic Counsellor to the Apostolic Nunciature

Msgr. Aliaksandr Rahinia

Mgr. Aliaksandre Rahinia was born on January 27, 1978 in Ciuncy, Belarus. He was ordained a priest on May 18, 2002 and has a Doctorate in Canon Law from the Pontifical Lateran University, Rome. He entered the Diplomatic Service of the Holy See in 2010. He served in the Apostolic Nunciatures in Ecuador, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Chad and Argentina. On January 4, 2023 he was appointed secretary of the Apostolic Nunciature in Georgia and Armenia. He is Chaplain of His Holiness

Since the opening of the Apostolic Nunciature in Tbilisi, priests with origins in various countries from around the world, have served as diplomats of the Holy See in the diplomatic mission to the South Caucasus.
